Dr. Dibya Ranjan Dash
Dr. Dibya Ranjan Dash is a Principal Project Scientist at the Centre for Rural Development and Technology (CRDT), IIT Delhi. He completed his doctoral studies at the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, India, with research centered on improving the yield and functional performance of plant proteins through ultrasound-assisted processing for food applications. Prior to joining CRDT, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Food Technology at SRM University, Delhi-NCR, Sonepat, Haryana, from August 2025 to August 2026. His scholarly expertise includes the extraction and functional modification of proteins, fibers, and polysaccharides; design of advanced hydrogel, emulsion gel, and oleogel systems; nutrient and bioactive delivery platforms; and recovery and utilization of bioactive compounds from food processing by-products. He also holds a patent granted by the Government of India. His technical proficiency encompasses protein chemistry, amino acid profiling, rheological characterization, LC-MS analysis, and structure-function modification of proteins.
