NSIH convened an expert consultation to discuss on the shelf-life of fortified rice kernels (FRK) and fortified rice (FR). The consultation reviewed NSIH’s study protocol and provided technical and operational recommendations on micronutrient stability, packaging and storage. The discussion focused on rice fortification challenges, stability testing parameters and premix quality control protocols.
