Co-Principal Investigator

Prof. S. N. Naik is a Professor at the Centre for Rural Development and Technology, IIT Delhi, with over three decades of experience spanning academia, industry, and policy. A Chemical Engineer with industry roots at Hindustan Lever Ltd. and Oswal Agro Ltd., his research covers biofuels, oleochemicals, essential oil extraction, and supercritical fluid technology. He has served as an expert member for the Planning Commission’s Biofuel Development Committee and the Government of India’s Expert Group on Biofuel Policy. His innovations include pilot-scale biodiesel plants, low-cost rural processing equipment, and supercritical fluid extraction units, with active collaborations across seven countries.
